User-generated content has changed the game for brands and models alike. Here's what I've learned creating authentic, scroll-stopping content that actually converts.
User-generated content has completely changed the game for brands — and for models willing to step into the creator space. Over the past year, I've worked with brands across beauty, fashion, and lifestyle to create authentic, scroll-stopping content that feels real because it is real.
What Makes Great UGC
The best UGC doesn't look like an ad. It looks like something your friend posted. That's the whole point. Brands are moving away from polished, studio-perfect campaigns and toward content that feels native to the platform — whether that's TikTok, Instagram Reels, or Stories.
As a model who also creates content, I bring something unique to the table: I understand lighting, angles, and how to move on camera, but I also know how to make it feel effortless. That combination is what brands are actually looking for.
My UGC Process
Every project starts with the brief. I want to understand the brand's voice, their target audience, and what platforms the content is going to live on. From there, I develop concepts — usually 3 to 5 variations — that hit different hooks and angles.
I shoot on both iPhone and professional cameras depending on the platform. For TikTok and Reels, iPhone keeps it authentic. For brand websites and paid ads, we step it up with proper lighting and camera work.
Results That Speak
The content I've created has been used in paid campaigns, organic social, email marketing, and even on product pages. When the content feels genuine, engagement follows naturally. That's not a theory — it's what I've seen happen project after project.
If you're a brand looking for UGC that actually converts, or if you're a model thinking about getting into content creation, the barrier to entry is lower than you think. Start with what you know, show up authentically, and let the work speak for itself.
